About Senior Tech Help
Senior Tech Help makes everyday technology easier, safer and less frustrating for seniors, beginners and the family members who help them.
Modern technology changes quickly. Smartphones update constantly, email keeps changing, and online scams keep getting more convincing. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed, especially if you didn’t grow up with digital devices.
You’ll find clear, step-by-step guides in plain language. No confusing jargon, just practical instructions that show you what to press, where to click and why it matters. The guides cover:
- Smartphones (iPhone and Android)
- Email and messaging
- Internet and Wi-Fi problems
- Computer basics
- Online safety and scam prevention
- Everyday digital tasks like online shopping and paying bills
Many guides include a short video for people who’d rather watch than read. Everything is meant to be calm, practical and easy to follow at your own pace.
Who’s Behind the Site
Hi, I’m Jason Stanley.
I’m a web design and development consultant with over 25 years in the tech business, building and supporting web-based platforms for both small businesses and large organizations.
Throughout my career I’ve worked closely with people who aren’t technical, and I’ve seen how confusing technology gets when it’s badly explained.
Alongside consulting, I run several web-based businesses and enjoy building helpful tools and educational resources that solve real problems.
Senior Tech Help grew out of seeing how often people, especially older adults, get stuck, misled or taken advantage of because nobody explained things in a straightforward way. This site is my way of making technology more accessible, safer and easier to understand.
Our Mission
To help seniors and beginners feel confident using technology, without fear, confusion or intimidation. Technology should make life easier, not more stressful.
How Guides Are Written and Checked
- Steps are written for people who aren’t technical, in the order you’ll actually do them.
- Safety warnings and common mistakes are called out where they matter.
- Updated guides link to the official company or government sources they rely on, and show the date they were last updated.
- No scare tactics or exaggerated claims.
If a step no longer matches your device, please let me know through the Contact page.
